Gantries & Platforms

Specialising in products and services for the railway industry in particular, SCE provide a wide variety of high quality fabricated steelwork products and installation service. Combining a variety of complimentary materials and processes, we can achieve almost any desired effect and quality. All of our products are designed and manufactured to a UKAS Quality Management 05 and thereby conform to BS EN ISO 9001.

Such projects include the following:

• Design, manufacture and installation of 4.8m, 6m and 12m galvanized support platforms for Relocatable Electrical Buildings (REB) to sit on

• Design fabrication and erection of 8 off galvanized mild steel lighting gantries to replace existing ones at Clacton Station, spanning approx 22m and 10m high, erected by our erection team during night time possession.
• Design, fabrication and delivery of permanent steel access platforms complete with handrails and staircases in the maintenance yard at Chingford Station.
• Small fabricated items that SCE have produced for Railway various projects include:

  • Signal post floor access covers
